    UPnP/DLNA Beidge Issue

    Hi,

I am running MACOS 12.4 on Mac Mini M1. I have installed LMS 8.2 and from the list of plug-ins I installed UPnP/DLNA Bridge. I want to compare LMS with another UPnP Server in a way that I use DLNA clients as LMS clients. LMS has more functionality than any other DLNA Music server.

When I go to Advanced Options and select UPnP Bridge, my first question concerns the option: select binary. Which one of two should I take ? I tried though with both getting the same result. I select the following:

    - Start the bridge: uncheck
    - Exrtra command line options: nothing
    - Additional debugging: None
    - Logging options: uncheck, uncheck
    - Network binding and port: Check Use LMS Interface

But I have an issue with configuration file. I check Autosave option and when I click generate, I get the message in red that configuration file is missing. And it is really missing. In another words this plugin does not generate configuration file and without it, it does not see my DLNA clients on the network. I restarted LMS Server and the whole machine but without success.

    Here is a server log:

I assume this is the problem.
It cannot open up ports to listen on so exits without creating a config file.

My guess ... local firewall not allowing it.
    See

for long "official" thread and see if there are any MAC specifics in there.

    NB.
The bridge does not implement any kind of uPNP/DLNA server interface. It makes a uPNP Renderer appear as a native player to LMS.
It is possible to switch on a uPNP/DLNA server interface by using the Andy Grundman plugin but it is very very basic, hasn't been worked on for years and you won't like it.

    Hi,

I switched off the firewall but nothing changed. It does not create configuration file.
