    Raspberry Pi4 Availability

These are out of stock everywhere I look. Is this a UK supply chain issue only or global? I can't easily find any info on when / if they will be available to buy again either. Any insights?

It is a global issue - chip / component shortage.

    You could try
    https://rpilocator.com/
but everyone is watching it ... and stock disappears quickly.

If you have ordered from Pimoroni before then you could be in luck because they are prioritising stock for previous purchasers from them.
I don't know if other retailers are doing the same.

Thanks very much - I did trawl back far enough .

Seems like the horses mouth says get in the queue but the comments suggest that even then you will be disappointed.

According to your signature you do have one.
So try contacting your original supplier to see if they are doing anything special for previous buyers.

    Here is what Pimoroni say:
    How we fix this
We are implementing a set of restrictions on the purchase of bare Raspberry Pi boards to make it a lot harder (impossible?) for scalpers to order from us and to make sure that any Raspberry Pi stock we have ends up in the hands of the people who need them.

    Ordering from us
The best way we can ensure that the boards we sell end up with genuine customers is to, well, only sell them to customers which we know are genuine. That means, to be able to order a Raspberry Pi board from us you will now need to:

    - be logged in to your Pimoroni store account
    - have ordered products other than bare Raspberry Pi before 20 April 2022

I bought a s/h RPi4B 2Gb off eBay last week complete with original PSU and a very nice all alloy ribbed case for £75. Now happily running piCore. Lots around at about that price as long as you avoid the 8Gb version. They are so reliable buying a used one from a seller with good feedback is unlikely to cause problems.

kubii.fr is one of the locations tracked by rpilocator (see my earlier post) ... so anything listed there is likely to be grabbed very quickly.
As I write this there are 2 sites shown (elsewhere) with stock.
There is no point in me giving the link though because by the time someone clicks on it (in the future) they will have gone and some other site will have some.
