Hello
I just received my Mac Studio and installed LMS 8.2.0, replicating the install from my previous mac.
The scanner seems to fail due to disk permissions (library is on external disk), see attached scanner log
I did manually provide permissions as per below thread but it still does not work... (see screenshots of permissions granted)
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...access+scanner
Here is my LMS system info

Would you mind giving 8.3.0 (nightly -
https://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.3) a try? It has
support for the M1 native Perl version on your new Mac. The previous
builds would still be using an old Perl 5.18 with Rosetta. The perl
binary you granted access most likely is the newer Perl version.
If you don't feel comfortable installing a nightly dev build, you could
try adding perl5.18 to the permissions list.

Not music scanning after installon new computer
Reboot the machine to get it into a "clean" state. There seem to be
multiple instances of LMS trying to run.

Can you access http://localhost:9000 (on the LMS computer)?
Are you using the macOS firewall?

It should be. Restart your computer after removing it if in doubt.

I think the "start at boot" option is broken (see
https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/issues/507).

Yes I use mac firewall (and did so on previous machine than ran LMS without issues)
I cannot access because the server is stopping on its own when it encounters the duplicate launch
I have taken away the LMS icon in preference panes and restarted the computer several times. Then I reinstalled clean, and after reboot, it always starts duplicated then crashes...

Not sure how to get rid of this duplicated instance.
When I reinstall, it seems the machine remembers the location of the media files and the settings, so is there a file / settings folder that I need to manually delete beyond deleting the icon in preference panes to have a real total uninstall?
Thanks

Can you confirm (even if only temporary) whether LMS would run with the
firewall turned off?

But did you try to open the web UI? Because if indeed there already was
an instance running, well, you should be able to access it.

Duplicate server start - Mac Studio
I have uninstalled LMS (removing the icon in preference panel)
then I manually deleted the two folders
~/Library/Application Support/Squeezebox
~/Library/Caches/Squeezebox
Then I rebooted
Then I installed the latest build LogitechMediaServer-8.3.0-1651659279.pkg
Then I rebooted
The server starts, then immediately stops
The server log clearly shows that when the server starts, it does so twice, then fatal error because of duplication then it crashes/stops...
I tried an earlier build 8.2.1 version, same behavior (duplicate start)
I tried also to switch off the mac firewall, to no avail...
Is there a possibility that the program does not take into account specificities of Mac Studio CPU and thus an instruction is launched twice by the computer?
Want to try everything before having to wipe my whole computer and reinstall everything I have on it from scratch...
Thanks

That's really odd.
But you keep ignoring my question: have you ever tried to access
http://localhost:9000?

I can't imagine that would be a problem. And I know of at least one M1
Ultra user running LMS successfully.
