Is there a way to play LMS in Windows via WASAPI?

    Hi all

    as above.

I should have said in the title I am referring to Windows 10.

If I select WASAPI mode in Squeezelite-X I get no so output (Direct Stream works fine).

I know WASAPI does work with my DAC as I can get it to work in Musicbee.

Doing some googling leads me to think there are a number of Windows players (Squeezeelite original and softsqueeze for example?)

I am however a bit lost with it all.

    Any advice welcome!

Hi guys, this is what I'm also interested in, so is there any clarification in this case?

This could be the best starting point - there are command line options needed in some cases.

Thanks to all for their links and responses.

I have found a way to do this. I am not the best at writing instructions but hope these are of use.

So first of all Foobar player is needed:

    https://www.foobar2000.org/download

    With the following plugins:

    UPnP/DLNA Renderer, Server, Control Point:

    https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_upnp

    and WASAPI output support

    https://www.foobar2000.org/component...foo_out_wasapi

On the LMS side we need UPnPBridge:

    https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...(squeeze2upnp)

Download Foobar and install plugins listed above.

Add UPNP Bridge to LMS in the usual way

    In Foobar go to:

Preferences > Basic Settings and note the name of your Media Renderer (You can change this)

Make sure your Output type in Foobar is set to WASAPI (event) and is to the device you want to output too.

Now go to your LMS controller of your choice.

All being well you should now see your Foobar Renderer in the list of options.

Select it as the active player and play some music!

Hope this makes some sort of sense and if folks have any questions I will try and answer!

    Thanks all
