    pCP doesn't 'see' Topping E30

Hi folks, can you help me with this problem? I have a pCP/Squeezelite set up on a RPi 4b with Pi 7" touchscreen (have not installed LMS on it yet). I would prefer to USB output to a Topping E30 dac, but after selecting/saving USB output, there are no options under the output "more" link - the E30 is not listed, nothing is listed. Tried plugging/unplugging the USB cable; tried using different 4b usb jacks; tried re-imaging the SD card - nothing. Using the latest pCP 64 bit software. I'm using a wired ethernet connection, a NAS, and have an existing and functioning LMS server, and can access the pCP web interface via its IP address. So what am I missing?

Ensure E30 is powered up and plugged in before you boot pCP.

    That's exactly what I did.

The E30 is/was always on and connected.

Are you connecting to a USB 2 or USB 3 port on the Pi?

Here's my setup - see "Add a Topping E30 USB DAC".

My E30 is set as a DAC, not Pre, and I don't have a screen. I use wifi.

I had actually read your "set up" before trying to set up mine. Where my set up fails is where you say:

Step 9 - Set Output setting

    • Click [Squeezelite Settings] > “Change Squeezelite settings” > “Output setting” > “more>”.
    • Note the list of available CARD=E30 devices.

When I get to this point, there is no drop down list of available devices - there is no CARD=E30 listed, there is nothing.

So its not even being detected at all. All of these are potential problems. USB is automatic detection, assuming everything is working. Here are some things to think about.

Dac Problem (Does the Dac work on any other computer)
    Power Supply (and Cable)
    USB Cable
USB port on the pi. (Try them all starting with the USB2.0 ports)
Some software glitch. Have you done anything other than what's in Greg's guide?
Potential corrupt SD card causing a system problem.
