    LMS Cannot Connect to MySqueezebox

I have been having some issues with LMS connecting to MySB.com. When I try to login via LMS there is no indication that my credentials are an issue until I go to look at my apps and then I receive the message "mysquuezebox.com refused to connect". I am able to login via a browser on my laptop though. Looking at my log file, it is in a repetitive loop of the following:

[21-11-29 12:35:46.0007] Slim::Utils::Timers::__ANON__ (272) Error: Timer Slim::Networking::SqueezeNetwork::__ANON__ failed: Can't call method "error" on an undefined value at /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Slim/Networking/SqueezeNetwork.pm line 154.

The only changes to my system in recent months was the introduction of a Google Nest WIFI to our house which is connected to our ISP's router. Do I need to open a port to allow connections to pass through?

Please update LMS to the latest version, and check IO::Socket::SSL
version in Settings/Information. Most likely it's outdated and would no
longer allow connecting to MySB securely.

If running Win OS, make sure LMS is running with ADMIN permissions. Also, can your Nest be causing DNS restrictions?

Thanks for the reply. Am I correct in thinking that I now need to do the update as a manual install on my Synology 218+ since LMS is no longer supported? If so, which package should I be looking from the download site? To be clear, I am still running DSM 6.2.3 and Perle 5.24 so that I theoretically could keep LMS running on this device. Further details on my system below.

This system has been running for years without too many issues. Aside from my LMS version getting stale as noted above, which had not been a problem. the only change is the Nest WIFI which does make me wonder. I had to install a revised host file into my Win OS laptops in order for the mapped drives for shared folders to be accessible again. My office IT guy drew that conclusion and it worked. I am suspicious that something similar could be happening with the NAS. My backups to the cloud are going through fine but that probabably means nothing.

If you're running LMS on Synology, I'd suggest you either use Docker
(which should be available in the plus models) or a Raspberry Pi to run
LMS. Running it on the NAS directly is a dead end.

You are probably right so I took the plunge last night and thanks to this post https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...S-Step-by-Step, I was able to get it set up and functioning flawlessly. No one is more surprised about this than me as discussions of containers, images, etc. is foreign to me so thank you.

Does this mean that I can now update Perle and DSM without concern of issues with LMS?

Yes. The Docker image comes with all the Perl LMS needs and is
    independent of the host installation.
