    Squeezebow classic stops playing (hardware failure ?)

    Hi guys,
    I've got a problem with my squeezebox classic, my first squeezebox. I didn't use it for a long time but now I would like to use it again, it has a great sound.
    It turns on ok, then if a play one track it just stops playing before the end of the track. Sometimes, if becomes dark, I suppose It shut down.
    It tried with another power supply, same problem.
    I tried to plug it with ethernet, no difference.
    It can stay a long time sleeping but if I play a track, then it's over.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks
    Antonio

    when you tried with ethernet, did you redo the network connection. Simply plugging in an ethernet cable doesn't automatically switch the player from WIFI to ethernet.

    Hi Garym,
    Yes I did, I also unplugged the ethernet during the playback to check it is really using the ethernet.

    I also tried the factory reset and the Xilinx reset tips found here https://joes-tech-blog.blogspot.com/...x-classic.html

    A faulty or failing WLAN card can produce symptoms described even if WLAN card is not being used.

    Top 3 "fails" with SB Classic.
    * PSU
    * Faulty or badly seated WLAN card
    * Caps.

    WLAN card failure can be tested by removing the WLAN card only requires a Torx T10 - SB classic will work OK without a WLAN card
