    Thanks.

    Thanks for the information.

(I still can't get it to work, though.)

finally got it to work ecept ONE HUGE ISSUE

I dont see any players anymore!!! What's weirder is that in the chromecast bridge settings i do see the chromecast enabled ones, but thats all.. they dont show up on the server's main interface page. so now my server scans music (that's why i moved it to my NAS), but doesn't show players, which is even worse...!

    anyone has a suggestion?

Synology Docker LMS Step by Step

You would only see players which are actually connected to this instance
of LMS. So head over to the players and make them connect to the new LMS.

Thanks to this thread and those that contributed, I was able to successfully transition my Synology 218+ to host LMS on Docker. As a non-programmer, this was incredibly helpful having a step by step guide and I couldn't have done it without it so thank you! It took some steps with the folder permissions but I finally have it right and everything is working flawlessly.

Thanks to all for this thread, the other thread on LMS repack etc, the docker container itself and those that contributed in every other way. Much appreciated friends
I was running LMS on piCorePlayer, but recently had issues with it losing sync to the Syno NAS requiring restarts (right when you dont want to be mucking around with a restart, you just want to listen to some beautiful tunes)
The screen caps and steps have helped this old brain muchly so again, super thanks to all.
Sadly for some of you, there'll probably be questions on 'dumb stuff' now. But I'll hold them for a fresh day.

Your usb device is taking too long to become ready at boot. You need to add some delay. On the extras menu, there is a bootcodes screen. Increase the value of waitusb

Thank you - LMS update via Docker

    4. Re- Start container

That's it. You are now running updated version of tag of your choice.

(As long as your current container is properly set up and has config mapped to NAS Docker folder as per setup instructions )
Many thanks for this Jaca - I knew there was a quick way of upgrading a Synology Docker LMS installation, but could never find it! Your instructions are perfect, have just updated my Stable 8.2.1 installation from August 2021 to May 2022 with all settings intact. Perfect, thank you.

Help with loading/configuring Docker and LMS on Synology

    Hello All-
I am new to this thread and finally found something that I hope"
    1. Will allow me to listen to my own library using my Synology NAS
    2. Will allow me to listen to Pandora (been using for many years)
    3. Use my Transporter as a player

I have followed many many posts and found the tutorial but I gotta say, I never heard of Docker.
So, is there a simpler start for Dummies to be able to do this?

Just make sure your synology NAS is docker compatible, then follow tutorial from top of this thread.

I mean go to Dsm package centre and search for docker... If its not there your NAS probably doesn't support it which means you need RPI.
Otherwise install docker and follow step by step tutorial..

OK, How do you load LMS once Docker is up?
