    Very Dim Screen on Touch

I fired up my spare Touch to do a Community Firmware update. For a moment, the screen was "normal" and then it went very, very dim. Just about readable, in a very dark room..... Very, very difficult though to enter a new network password accurately!

I've tried it with different "known good" power supplies, to no effect. I can just about read the screen to navigate to the Manual Brightness setting, but even with that on full, the screen is still very dim. Everything else about it seems to work fine.

    Any ideas?

I had that once in the early days - spoke to Logitech support and they said ôthe screen is bust, it happens, send it backö. They replaced with a new one. It played ok, just I could not see the screen hardly. Maybe backlight or screen power.

I'm not (these days....) quite enough of an electronics tinkerer to want to try repacing the screen: which I think has come up in past, similar threads. Albeit very dim, the screen is just about visible enough - for the moment! - for this old Touch to serve as a back-up if one of the other failed worse. I need to remember to power it up and update it every now and then, so that it can run from LMS or an App without any real need to use the display in a "real" setting. If the screen fails totally, the Touch might work, or might not - and there would be no real way lof telling why that would be the case.
