I’ve been building a radio station and have now got to the point that it needs some stress testing.
You’ll find full details at https://jukeradio.double6.net
There are mp3, AAC and FLAC stream variants all with metadata and you’ll find the relevant URLs on the site
We can currently accommodate a maximum of 100 overall listeners across the three stream variants
This is a no Ads station with a distinct nod to Radio Paradise but our genre range is a little wider and we include some classic British humour from time to time.
Note. There remains a minor technical issue with audio quality whereby there are random but infrequent milliseconds of interference but this does not really impinge on our test requirements too much - for those that hear it and wonder what it is - the very heavyweight physical hardware is running a number of VMs one of which has an occasional process that grabs CPU and affects the Windows VM that’s running the encoder part of the station. We intend to replace the Encoding VM with a physical device shortly.
Please could people tune in to stress test the server - it should easily handle 100 connections even on FLAC
Currently playing a continuous mix of Rock, Jazz and Soul

PS a lot of the music played is from Vinyl rips so expect some pops and crackles. As a notable DJ once said “life has surface noise”.

By design cover art is only available on Shoutcast2 servers which aren’t capable of FLAC. This is an icecast2 clone which handles FLAC but doesn’t do cover art. However I’m hopeful of an LMS plugin which will provide it and album title where available.

There is a lot of confusion in naming Ogg, Vorbis and friends. Normally, Ogg is a container and Vorbis is a codec. So you can put Vorbis in Ogg or Flac or Opus. Unfortunately, most of the time people name things "ogg" and think it is Vorbis inside. So Ogg Radio is correct but it does not tell you anything about the codec, and here obviously you have flac in it (846K CBR), to it's ogf. Even the mimetype is confusing as "audio/ogg" is vorbis in ogg but to specific other formats it's "audio/ogg codec=flac" or "audio/ogg codec=opus". Not great
