    Solved the problem looking on another Forum

    tc@blue:~/server$ ./server
    using port #8082
    Unable to open I2C device: No such file or directory

    tc@blue:~/server$ sudo modprobe i2c-dev

    tc@blue:~/server$ ./server
    using port #8082

    Enable I2C on reboot with PiCorePlayer

    Hi

    Like the user who started this thread I need to use the modprobe i2c-dev command to enable i2c so that I can use Pimoroi LED Shim with PiCorePlayer.

    However I canĺt figure out how to email this change permanent. I tried using the instructions here, https://forums.centos.org/viewtopic.php?t=72040, but the i2c-dev.conf file I created in the /etc/modules-load folder disappeared after a reboot. I did do a backup of my PiCorePlayer before rebooting.

    Any ideas how to make this change permanent?

    Thanks in advance.

    You need to add
    /sbin/modprobe i2c-dev
    to the file /opt/bootlocal.sh.
    Then save your change:
    pcp bu
