    Controller wheel sticky

I know there is a thread on this: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...n-scroll-wheel

I opened up my Controller to check why the wheel is not moving as easy as it should. But the wheel itself and the four buttons around it seem to be one part and this part is a part of the whole button plate which seems to be glued onto the mainboard. I wonder if I could remove the parts to try to get the actual wheel disassembled. Spraying a bit of Caramba oil in between did nothing (it also did not hurt I hope). Maybe I could use some other fluid which would fit better.

    EDIT: Solved

IIRC the wheel is an optical encoder and so dust is probably making it sticky.

A fluid could congeal the dust and make things worse.

Compressed air, disassemble etc, may help. IIRC There was a post showing how to disassemble but photos have died.

One user recommended WD40ptfe (NOT the standard WD40)
