    Connecting Touch directly to PC

Is it possible to connect Touch to computers' usb, in order to play LMS music files through the Touch? The goal is to send EQ'd music files to Touch and then to my Stax headphone amplifier. I'm trying to avoid buying a outboard DAC.

In theory, yes. Since Touch has a USB port Squeezeplayer may actually already have some debug routine allowing it to use USB as a serial input device. It may be something of a challenge though to make the other end recognize the device as a serial connection as well, particularly if it's Windows.

Why not simply (...) stream the content over the network? Using e.g. gstreamer you could turn your computer into an internet radio station and then all you need to do is send some RPC calls to the Touch to tune into it. Other popular streaming services include shoutcast and icecast, but I think these will not allow you to transmit PCM streams.

I can't simply stream over internet because I loose the equalization program I have on the computer. Unless you or someone knows how.

I don't know, how did you intent that equalization program to communicate with the Touch over USB? Surely that must mean that it can direct output to something other than a computer sound card.

Look into Inguz. It's a rather advanced eq & room correction plugin for LMS
