Synology CS407E - Logitech Media Server possible ??

    Greetings.

I know that Logitech Media Server is not supported anymore on Synology DSM 6

    But - I have a old Synology CS407E with DSM 3

Is that possible to install LMS om that one ??

It runs on a Marvell 5281/500 processor.

    Thanks

Possibly a very old version 7.7.x which is ancient and as it is a marvel processor it wonĺt run Docker.
Your best bet is a Pi with piCorePlayer/LMS with your files kept on the NAS and mounted via CIFS or NFS

Still bummed, with Synology you can't apply Perl updates or even version LMS 7 will stop working. Even if I move it to a Pi, my new Asus router with WiFi 6 can't connect wirelessly to my Squeezebox players. It's like a conspiracy to oust Squeezebox.

    CORE32 - an LMS Gateway

This is an option that may appeal to some people looking for a solution to continue using a Synology NAS as a digital music file storage location for LMS. It is called CORE32, which is a self contained LMS server in its own right and runs the latest LMS v8.2. CORE32 can also work with other brands of NAS devices and supports SMB1, 2 & 3
