    Radio stations don't get updated

Glad to find out that there is still a forum for squeezebox user to post inquiries. It is frustrating that many radio stations don't get updated promptly if at all, which leads to failure ("bad request"). It is often difficult to find the URL online. For instance, the station Yoga Chill. The station works in a windows radtio app, a linux radtio app and many android radio apps I have installed but not on squeezebox. Except Squeezebox, all other devices/apps I have also automatically update all stations - never seen a single error message.

It makes me feel the few hundrends of dollars I spent on the the Touch was wasted because an old android phone could be easily transformed into a media center with an free open source app. Even an old phone is faster and easier to type and search than the Touch. A phone can also have dedicated superior podcast apps. Does Logitech still support the product at all?

Could anyone kindly tell me how to find stream URL for Yoga Chill? Tried many links, none worked.

If this is it I found it by searching in the RadioNet plugin.

Thanks for the info. I can play Yoga Chill from the plugin in My Media Server (pushed to Touch) but can't play from Touch (mysqueezebox.com) after searching and saving the station. The error message is "http/1.1 400 bad request" or "no items found in the playlist". The squeezer app on android phone has the same error message. I suppose when I searched the station on mysqueezebox.com, it was through TuneIn addon. So I installed TuneIn on my phone and the standalone TuneIn could play the station.

The URL of the station is https://radio4.vip-radios.fm:18027/s...kmp3-YogaChill It works in a web browser so it should be the correct one but somehow does not work on the touch (tried to open from "favorites", error "no items found in the playlist")

When I also went to the TuneIn app on the Touch, selected "ambient music" then the Yoga Chill station, still didn't work ("http/1.1 400 bad request")

The Touch is about 10 years old and Logitech stopped development for Squeezboxes about 10 years ago as well.
Logitech maintains the mysqueezbox.com server as a service to existing users.
The https protocols required by the station are not implemented by the Touch because they were not developed 10 years ago. You need a local LMS to implement the https protocols.

Thank you everyone for the help. Since https is not support, guess there is no way to achieve the origial purpose of the device (for me), which is to play internet radio stations without keeping a computer on. What a pity. Indeed, for my use, a retired phone on a stand probably serves better because it will play all stations.

A Pi makes a very good low power server.

The "computer" required to run LMS is similar to a media streamer such as AppleTV, a FireTV or Roku and with a Touch will generally offer better experience (i.e. audio quality, program info such a track artist, bio, covers) than a modern internet radio or repurposed phone. The same LMS can be used to additionally play audio to other devices you may have such as Airplay or UPNP speakers.

Unlike a contemporary iPhone / Android, the Touch has a good resale value so do not junk the Touch.

you have been given good advice from the senior "go to" members here, but perhaps I can fill a couple gaps. In my mind "mysqueezebox.com" was developed for "out of the box" operation of the sb devices. However, the functionality is dwarfed by LMS, even early on. When logitech dropped the line, mysqueezebox development was dropped, while it remains alive (as was mentioned) thanks to logitech for legacy functionality. So when stations started migrating to https, mysqueezebox got less and less useful. mysqueezebox has other deficiencies that have developed over time.

I understand your "play music with the computer off", as I used to run LMS on a windows machine, and every time I turned the computer off, I said "hey! what happened to the music??!!"

As @slarti mentioned, using a raspberry pi as an "always on", low cost (<$50USD), low power server gives you what you are looking for including ALOT more. I chose to go the picoreplayer route, which is popular here, but there are others.

Your touch is still a nice piece of kit, throw $50 at it for a cute litte rpi server, and if you choose to, add storage (local, network, etc) to add your library. You won't regret it. Think of it as an "add on" for your touch to play https if you like.

There are alot of "how to" threads here we can point you to...

Like you I mostly just stream stations via MySB.com. Sadly MySB.com lacking https support means diminishing returns for playable streams, but there are still many streams available with no LMS or computer. Try out the Radionomy and ShoutCast apps on MySB.com which delivers thousands of MySB.com http streams covering any genre out there.

ShoutCast even has a bitrate filter feature on MySB.com (thank you Michael Harger) so you can filter out the lower quality streams. Mine is set to 192k so any ShoutCast menu selections or searches only show me streams of 192k or greater (192k thru 320k), and I am presented with hundreds of selections to choose from.

It's not going to make your MySB.com usage as valuable as it used to be. Just offering some MySB.com usage ideas to lesson the pain a bit and still get some value out of your SB hardware players.
