piCorePlayer 8.0.0 - Bluetooth Discussion

Hi

So I am trying to get a Bluetooth Dongle described as "CSR 4.0" working with my RPi 2 with pCP 8.1.

From my recollection the chips labeled as CSR 4.0 are mostly broken in linux. Requires a special patched kernel driver.

pCP 8.2 is out now, contains the separate device output setting, as well as aptX and Ldac support.

Make sure you do the update on the bluetooth page after you upgrade to 8.2.0.

Thx for the additional codec support, i updated the bluetooth extension, but still cannot choose the other codecs...
Is there still anything missing, www update?

Did it offer the list on the Bluetooth web page?

After upgrading, you should see this new section on your screen. I think only SBC is enabled by default.....(SBC is a required codec, and support cannot be removed)

This is working very well!
I set one of my headphones to aptx (aptx and aptx LL are possible) and it works without a problem. The other headphone can only be set to SBC and AAC which is also working without a problem.
Also the headphone controls for play/pause next/last are working without any problem (this was really a great addition in one of the last versions, I love it!).

Did you update the Bluetooth support (first button on the Bluetooth specific page in pCP web interface)?
