So, on the streamer option what's the Input Device for?

It all looks okay but there's no sound.

No matter what I try nothing plays. Guess it's beyond my level of bodging.

That field would be used if you had a board with hardware audio input. Bluetooth being all software is handled differently.

You can try to switch modes to "player" and just stream from your phone to that pCP device. That will verify if your phone connection is working.

Thanks for the explanation and for your persistence.

I've concluded that I have no idea what I'm doing.... I tried with another phone which actually shows in the scan but just can't be paired.
Reluctantly, I think this is for the back burner...

    Cheers.

Fist of all i would like to thank all people involved for this wonderful piece of software.

    I am using a pcp8.0 on a rpi3B+ and i am using an JBL Go2 Bluetooth speaker.

Speaker is pairing and playing fine, but PCP keeps loosing connection every time i shut it down and i have to reconnect - pair the JBL speaker every time, which is annoying.

I have use the configuration button, but it didn't help.

    Code:
    pCP Bluetooth extension build:0020
    Starting BT Controller
    bcm43xx_init
    Flash firmware /lib/firmware/brcm/BCM43430A1.hcd
    Set BDADDR UART: b8:27:eb:46:3f:b2
Set Controller UART speed to 921600 bit/s
    Device setup complete
    Waiting for bluetooth controller.Ready

Go to the diagnostics page, and look for This section.

    [ INFO ] Current /opt/.filetool.lst

Is var/lib/bluetooth shown in this list?

Something went wrong when installing Bluetooth. Do you have plenty of disk space? EitHer manually add the entry, then pair your device again. Or remove Bluetooth, reboot, then reinstall.

    Uninstall and reinstall bluetooth.

Now paired speaker is remembered but not connected.
I have to manually press connect after every reboot.

Itĺs up to the speaker to connect. Power the speaker up after the system is running.
