    Hi Paul

I think it was the download of the image. I have the same problem with the USB boot.

    Thx

I had a similar problem - one fake Toshiba SD card from Amazon and a dying SD card reader caused hours of agonising!

So lets try new technology. If you use rpi imager, they support downloading images directly from the network, validating/writing and verifying the write. If you launch rpi imager like this.

    "rpi-imager --repo https://repo.picoreplayer.org/pcp-rpi-imager.json"

You should get presented a menu that allows you to select and write the current images. It uses sha256 to validate the images. Once I'm sure this is all working, I can request that rpi includes our links directly in the default imager menu.

Thanks guys for the additional helpful information. Running from linux command line, rpi-imager is a bit noisy, but that all looks normal.

Have you looked at the automatic software installation for RPi4 ?
Put blank SD card in RPi4 ... connect ethernet cable, keyboard and screen ...
then it does the rest by itself when you power on (from memory there is a keyboard sequence to get it to do it plus recent firmware).

PiCorePlayer does not see all the tracks in an album but they are present

Hi, I have recently built a Picore player and server to replace old Duet and Synology server. It is an amazing project and I am very grateful to all the work done but I have a few problems that have me stumped.

I have some albums where, in Album Artist>Artist>Album, the server and player only one or a few of the tracks for example in one album I see 10 out of the 13 tracks (misses first and last two tracks). If I go to Folder view and navigate to the same album I can see the "missing" tracks but there is no option to play the missing ones and no information about the track. If I click on the location it downloads to the file to my pc and the file is will play fine on my computer. Additionally, when I navigate the folder tree there is a funny extra directory in every directory called @eaDir.

I have another LMS (running in a docker container) pointed to the same music source on my NAS where it works fine so I think the files are OK. It does not show the @eaDir folders

I have tried re-scanning the media library but the results are the same.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

    Server Details:
    Logitech Media Server Version: 8.2.0 - 1627922070 @ Tue Aug 3 11:43:18 CEST 2021
    Hostname: pCP
    Server IP Address: 192.168.1.93
    Server HTTP Port Number: 9000
    Operating system: piCore - EN - utf8
    Platform Architecture: armv7l-linux
    Perl Version: 5.32.1 - arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int
    Audio::Scan: 1.05

Try changing your LMS to 8.2.1 - not that I remember anyone reporting this issue but because this might be LMS issue so moving to more recent is more likely to get it looked at if still repeatable.
You can get there by telling pCP (on its LMS page) to change branch and do a manual update.

If it does still happen then it probably needs to be raised in LMS thread rather than pCP.

That will work, once I get pCP added to the official rpi OS list
