    UpNP to reflect library views?

    Hello.

I am now using library views very successfully and have three distinct views.

However when I use the LMS UpNP server my files are served up as one lot.

Is there anyway it can be configured to emulate the library views?

    Thanks.

    In a word - No
Unless you can persuade someone to rewrite the code that presents the upnp server. You wonĺt find ANY upnp server that does what native LMS does or even comes anywhere close.
Presumably you have a upnp player and what it to act like a native player - have you looked at Phillipeĺs upnp bridge?

    Thanks. I did wonder.

I have a Naim NDX that uses UpNP. If I use the built in Windows 10 UpNP server the tracks do not get listed in the right order and if I use the LMS UpNP server plugin I get all three libraries mashed together.
I use Phillipe's brilliant plugin for running Chromecasts but it doesn't seem to work for the Naim NDX (I don't know why... surely UnPN is just UnPN?).

Someone has mentioned Asset UpNP server so I'll try that but I am beginning to think attaching a Touch to the NDX digital-in might be the best way to go (only issue is I'm wedded to Naim sound)

No - it is a very bad "standard"and there are lots of places where it is open to interpretation as a result there many player and servers that do not interwork. Sometimes it seems as if a vendor wants a user to be able to only use their server and their player.

Philippe has added many many tweaks to cater for different implementations - often it is a matter of finding the right combination.

Thanks. I had no idea. My best bet then is to fiddle around with Phillipe's plugin as running the NDS from LMS is what I most want to do.

Play with the upnpbridge plugin but if you can get Phillipe into the conversation he'll probably help diagnose the incompatibility and the likely settings - otherwise you may waste time.

Looking through the upnpbridge thread and user have managed to get some other Naim devices working although maybe not with 100% success.

    Well I never.

If Phillipe's Chromecast plugin will work with Roon to control a Naim NDX then it's gotta work with LMS.

I can't even get Phillipe's plugin to generate a config entry for the NDX, whatever I do. I'll try the plugin thread. :-(

I'm getting a bit confused with names.
Upnpbridge is the same as Chromecast Bridge (aka Squeeze2cast) right?

    NO.

CastBridge is for Chromecast players (aka Google stuff)
    upnpbridge is UPNP player

Airplaybridge is for Airplay but offhand not sure exactly what players - but it is not UPNP.

    You want UPNPBridge

Just for completeness - Apple AirPlay compatible devices. Tends to be things like HiFi Amps or boomboxes that enable Apple iPhone/IPad to send music (and video) to them over WiFi.
