    [Announce] Spotty 4.5 - improved Oggdirect, Autoplay, multi-user setup

    > After running with "-x" , the server log shows:-
    > 21-06-22 15:39:22.9401] Plugins::Spotty::Helper::_findBin (192) Trying

    > spotty-x86_64

    What I wanted to know was the result of
    "/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/i386-linux/spotty-x86-64
    -x"

    > I'm running Ubuntu Linux 20.04.2 (up-to date).

    I'd say this should be too popular not to have caused issues so far...
    I'll give it a try.

    I actually have a Ubuntu 20.04 here, and it's working as expected.

    You mentioned the client ID. Did you enter your own? Can you double
    check it's correct? No accidental spaces etc? Are you using multiple
    accounts with Spotty?

    Sorry, I amended the previous post to include the response but out of time sequence.
    Running from the command line I got:-

    :~$ /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/i386-linux/
    spotty-x86_64 -x
    ok spotty v1.0.0 - using librespot 0.2.0 6066a5f (Built on 2021-05-18, Build ID: u8WevDRl)
    {"autoplay":true,"debug":false,"lms-auth":true,"ogg-direct":true,"podcasts":true,"save-token":true,
    "version":"1.0.0","volume-normalisation":true,"zeroconf-port":true}

    Or did you want me to alter the command in a script somewhere?

    Ok, that's fine. Now could you please run

    ....spotty-x86-64 -n Squeezebox -c
    "/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/spotty/6f5b20a6" --get-token

    Would that crash?

    I've double checked the client ID & it's correct. There is just a single Spotify Premium account.
    I am not certain whether or not the issue occurred after a recent nightly update or the upgrade to 4.5.

    Apart from regular updates, the (LMS) server is rarely touched as it's a file Server and Time Machine for the household Macs.

    I'm afraid so:-

    Oh... I think we're getting closer. What if you add "--disable-discovery" to the above command line?

    I can confirm the normalization seems to be disabled with Ogg direct.
    But I can't hear any distortion.

    What players are others using? What platforms are you running LMS on?
    if I disable normalization on the player side in the spotty section, there isn't any distortion.
    So something goes wrong there.
    Is there any log I can enable to see what happens ?

    Cheers

    Perfect! I'll try to get a fix out today. Thanks a lot for the testing!
