    Playlist location setting

Is it possible to change the location of Playlists so I can host them on my NAS along with the music?
I'm sure I've seen a setting for this somewhere but blowed if I can find it.

Yes, just copy or move the playlist folder to your NAS, change the path to the folder - LMS > Settings > Basic settings.

But you'll need to to change the filepaths in all the actual playlists using a text editor too.

Thanks for that. Sadly, I'm running Daphile, which I thought was just a version of LMS but it seems it doesn't have the same setting

Daphile is just a wrapper over a standard LMS but if I recall correctly from my very quick look at it there is no ssh access that will get you to the config files if you don’t have access to this section of settings via web browser.
Ask on the daphile forum if there is cl one

Thanks, only the beta version gives ssh access. I'll give that a go.

    It’s in preferences.
Does daphile have an “information” page like regular LMS does?
If so the will point you to the location

Daphile doesn't have all the menu items that vanilla LMS does.
I believe I can edit the relevant file via SSH to change it but can't figure out the file I need.

Are you using Material or iPeng on a phone? Both of those will tell you. It is OS specific - mine is var/lib/squeezeboxserver/prefs

Don’t edit while LMS is running

I use OrangeSqueeze on Android. Can't see any indications there.
Sadly I think the Daphile file structure is different to vanilla LMS. I can't find a "squeezeboxserver" directory anywhere.
