    Duet / Irregular reboots

My Duet Controller has been going crazy a few days ago. Sometimes, already when starting and sometimes after a few actions it freezes, stops or restarts. At first I thought of an issue with the new Community FW or 'unsuported' plugins / patches. So back to FactorySettings, with restart and +.

Little by little, I setup everything new and at first it looked good. After a short time, however, the same behavior again - so, again factory reset and restart to work. The whole game a couple of times and the error always appeared at different steps after a while.

In the end, just cleaned the contacts from the battery, but nothing! Could be that battery is the issue? Or aged power components? Does anyone know anything like that?

Does anyone have similar problems with the Duet? Or is my device just old (2009) and has problems with electr. components like flash memory? If someone has an idea where I can take a closer look or debug and dig into it - please do not hesitate to give a hint... Thanks

My duet I recall had flaky controller -- turned out to be a voltage/power supply issue .. I know you can get replacements --- 5V 2A... this is the remote I am talking about..

keep the barrel connector, and just replace the wall wart part ...I spliced an extra one I had, and it stopped the erratic behavor

Thanks a lot for the fast answer. Unfortunately the external power unit (PSU) is not the problem. I've already measured it and the current/voltage curve looks like it's new device :-)

I guess, it's more of an internal power supply that is not stable. Or actually the contacts of the battery. I just put slight pressure from above and the controller started up smoothly at least. Now a small piece of cardboard is between the housing and the battery and let's see what happens.
