    Ugly stripe on radio display

Since a couple of days I have this ugly (white) stripe - it looks like a column pixel has failed.

Did anybody experience something similar and was able to fix it. I Still remember that a couple of years the display was available via the Internet/eBay. But I can't find anything like that :-(

Yes, and I looked around but I can't find any display - So, if somebody knows a source where you can buy it, please post. I read that some Logitech keyboards used the same display but also - not available anymore :-(

I had this years ago with a TOUCH. At the time it was under warranty and they replaced it with a new Touch. Sorry, no other solutions I'm aware of.

It's been a few years since I've managed to buy any new screens - seems any available stock has dried up.

Did watch the keyboards on eBay for a while and managed to get one for a couple of pounds but the seller refused to send it to me on the basis it wasn't worth the effort for him and he would rather bin it.

Last time I needed a screen I managed to pick up a dead SBR on eBay (power issues on the main board) and made one good one out of the pair, so I would say that's probably the only route left for you... look for spares or repairs SBR's or if you are patient enough you can get working ones fairly cheap from time to time.

The screens are quite easy to change if you can get a spare.

    Joe's blog site:

    https://joes-tech-blog.blogspot.com

You may have to contact him to ask about SB Radio screens, had a quick browse back through his articles to 2017 and didn't see anything on SB radios.

He is also active on this forum... here's his profile:

    https://forums.slimdevices.com/membe...131-JoeMuc2009

Here's a previous thread where we discussed the screen availability issue, Joe's posts on finding more details on the display make/model at that time were not very positive.

    Hi @KeBul and @philippe_44,

Thanks a lot for your help and proposals. Yep, I read a lot about Joe and his possibility to fix VFD Displays. Guess, you a right and it may be a good idea to ask him about the Radio LCDs.

I'm sure this blog from a Australian guy is already linked somewhere in this forum but i will do it again because it fits to this thread. At the and he asked several guys who managed the repair, where did they get the spare part from. Unfortunately no answer mostly. But I guess they bought also defect samples either a G19 Keyboard or a SB Radio... and built one good sample.

Edit: Just saw the mentioned link is also posted twice in the linked thread. Anyway, I'll leave here...
