Well I just tried moving a Radio to mysqueezebox and I can't pull that back into LMS either. Disconnecting it from mysqueezebox sends it back to LMS but it used to be possible to see mysqueezebox connected players in the LMS player drop down list.

I went through several iterations of changing how software players are
being handled in the past. Without going into too much details, this is
all off the top of my head:

    - the code dealing with software players hasn't changed in years
    - software players are not supposed to connect to mysqueezebox. If it's
still possible somehow, then this is unexpected/a bug, and behaviour is
    undefined.
    - my software players still show up in mysb via LMS registering them
    - LMS should allow you to access apps even for non-registered devices

You can enable logging for mysb activity in LMS (network.squeezenetwork)
to see whether there's a problem there.

What happens if you delete a software player from mysqeeuzebox? Does it reappear again? That is the issue and I see the same thing.
Another issue is that players connected to mysqueezebox (any player) do not appear in the drop down list of players in the default web UI for LMS. They used to appear below the local players and were shown as connected to mysqueezebox. They could then be selected and pulled back to LMS.

Understood - this was not the intent / problem

That's the issue. It started by one of my software player suddenly not able to play Tidal. I went on mysb.com and did not see that player anymore, so after different attempts, I deleted all my players. Only the real SB came back, despite multiple LMS restarts. Logs did not show anything wrong. Today, after 1+ day like that, one of my bridged player came back, but just this one.

Well, that appears to be true for LMS default skin. But when using LMS Material for controlling a player, TIDAL navigation does not work when the player is not registered at mysqueezebox.com. This behavior of LMS Material is confirmed by cpd73 (developer of LMS Material), see this post.

I did some further investigations and found that in my case only my SqueezeAMP does not register at mysb.com. To be precise, it was registered at mysb.com in the past, but it did not show-up anymore after I deleted the player from mysb.com a few weeks ago. I expected it to re-appear at mysb.com after controlling it from LMS, but it doesn't. Today I deleted another software player from mysb.com (Squeezeplayer for Android), and this player re-appeared at mysb.com almost immediately after controlling it from LMS.

=> I am now thinking that maybe somebody else is (mis)using the MAC address of my SqueezeAMP. Seven months ago I posted a screenshot of the ESP32 firmware upload tool in another section of this forum, not realizing that this screenshot was showing the MAC address of my SqueezeAMP (I have now re-uploaded the screenshot with obscured MAC addresses).

@mherger, when I PM you the MAC address of my SqueezeAMP, can you check if this MAC address is registered on an account at mysqueezebox.com?

I've been seeing the same for days, but seems to be working okay now after doing absolutely nothing. I can pull a squeezelite player from, and push to mysb.com.

Surprised me too! First time I've ever been able to do this with a squeezelite player, they usually just disappear into the ether.

Maybe Michael is doing something in the background.

All I did was to come back from vacation. The servers must feel the
    return of my presence.

Thanks for the pointer. I'll follow up on that posting.
