    PcP USB output config help - Caimen SEG & RPi3B+

    Am interested to hear and compare SQ using USB output, as opposed to current Optical via Digi HAT.

    Am (still) a novice, so have played about changing the Audio ouput to USB and tried a couple of different hw card options and although the Caiman USB led dims I'm getting no audio.

    I know the Caiman needs Wasapi input but no idea if PcP can output that format through LMS & a RPi 3B+, if the answer is no at least I can stop wasting my time.

    If the sound is similar it'll allow me to divert the Optical to a different additional device.

    Any help and advice appreciated

    Have you asked Stan if the Dac is at least Linux compliant ?

    Which versdion of pCP are you using ?

    With the rpi connected to the dac, power on the dac, wait a few secs and then power on the rpi.

    On the pCP Main Page > Scroll to bottom and enable Beta > ignore the warning

    Reboot

    Go to the Squeezelite tab and select USB, you see this text

    Do this First: Select Audio output, then press [ Save ] less>

    Set Audio output before changing Squeezelite settings below.

    Note: This will overwrite some default values of the Squeezelite settings below. You may need to reset them.
    Please post a screen shot or list of the Audio Outputs that are offered

    There are alos these settings to try on the Tweaks page, but I would leave them at default for the moment

    I've changed Audio on PCP to USB and the Caiman USB input LED dimmed after reboot, which is encouraging and I'm guessing implies the output signal is recognised by Caiman BUT no audio plays.

    Screenshots below show the Versions installed (6.0.0?) and I've attached the two shots to list available Audio options.

    I've zero understanding of the various Squeezelite options that are available, so would appreciate a steer if this is what's amiss.

    Thanks for your help

    I have an empty field there, see below.

    I've been checking through the Tweaks tab and experimenting with the USB audio tweaks, I had a small success by selecting "0x1 Accelerate non-periodic split transactions" audio came through but at about 20% volume and very garbled. Not sure if this is a useful clue??

    You need to pick an option from those listed to enter into that field.

    @Poldark69

    Return the settings on the Tweaks page to default

    On the Squeezelite Settings page

    Try either;

    front:CARD=Audio,DEV=0

    or

    hw:Card=Audio,DEV=0

    If they don't work, please post the out of the boot log

    pCP Main page > Diagnostics > Logs > boot
