Rasp Pi3 as Player & LMS

    HI absolute newbie -
Ive setup a raspbPi 3 as a music server that feeds a logitech squeezebox duet that feeds a beresford DAC that I use with a controller - so don't need the PC to play music

Id like to take out the squeezebox and replace it with the Pi but cant seem to land on the settings to allow me

Ive added a Justboom digi card and changed the output setting in squeezelite for the digicard but when i plug in the players not recognized

Can anyone point me to an idiots guide?

    Many Thanks

Which operating system are you running?

What does Squeezelite say when you ask it to list the audio devices?
    squeezelite -l
    (minus lowercase-elle)

Your music library should be attached to the pi running LMS, not the player.
    Server - LMS 8.2.0 Pi4B 4GB/Argon one case/pCP v7.0.1 - 75K library, playlists & LMS cache on SSD (ntfs)
    Study - Pi3B/pCP 7.0.1/pi screen/AlloBoss DAC HAT/Ruark MR1 Mk2
    Lounge - Pi2/pCP 6.0.0 > HiFiBerry DIGI+ > AudioEngine DAC1 > AVI DM5
    Dining Room - Pi3B/pCP/Bluetooth/Echo Show 8
    Garage - DAC32 > Edifier speakers

    Spares - 2xTouch, 1xSB Radio. 1xSB3, 6xRPi

You need to install LMS on the player Pi, and mount the USB drive on that same Pi.
