    Can't update squeezebox radio

    Hey guys,

I've read and read. Tried different steps and i can't for the life of me figure out what i'm doing wrong.

    Have a squeezebox radio "baby"
    firmware 7.7.3 r16676

i did a factory reset, then installed the applet installer.
    rebooted
installed the version comparison fix patch
    reboot
have LMS 7.9.4 running.. LMS tells me that there is an update.. fine.. so it gets me to 8.1.1 enable the community firmware plugin.. restart LMS. for safe measure i restarted the radio.
and i'm stuck. nothing happens and i'm still at the same 7.7.3 firmware.

What am i doing wrong here?

When you installed the community firmware plugin did you enable it by checking the box at
    Settings/Advanced/Community Firmware?

oh wow... dumb dumb... ok i have that enabled. Now should things show up? i dont see anything in the server.log file. except Optimizing DB because of missing or empty sqlite_stat1 table
and warning :trying to commit transactions before db is initialized.

probably another newbie mistake i'm making somewhere.

update:.. well i rebooted the radio and wouldn't you know it.. poof.. update 8.0.1 is available for download.
still yet to see what this will help out with.. but i'll take it haha

    thanks for your help
