    WPA-EAP enterprise wifi on picore player

    Hi All,

    I would like to use WPA-EAP on my picoreplayers connected to wifi. I've got all my wired picore players running on a different vlan, but I also want my wireless clients to use the same vlan. I've done dome testing this with RPI3 and rpi4 with raspbian on it and that works like a sharm. Unfortunately pcp does not work with the cutom wpa_supplicate.conf i've uploaded to my wireless device.

    this is that i use :

    network={
    ssid="xxxxxx"
    priority=1
    proto=RSN
    key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
    pairwise=CCMP
    auth_alg=OPEN
    eap=PEAP
    identity="xxxxxx"
    password="xxxx"
    phase1="peaplabel=0"
    phase2="auth=MSCHAPV2"
    }

    Does WPA-EPA actually work on pcp or not ? Anyone tried to use it ?

    Last I checked, wpa_supplicant is built with the same compile options as debian. But I have no way to test enterprise stuff.

    I would run wpa_cli, and try to execute commands and see what it says...... it should give you more debugging info. Obviously you will need a keyboard/monitor or ethernet connection to the device while you test wifi.

    debug WPA-EAP on picore

    Hi Paul,

    I figured a way to het wpa_cli running on wlan0
    It seems that only "eap = PEAP" returns a FAIL in wpa_cli.
    Does that mean that certain modules are not loaded ?

    Kind regards,

    Alright,

    I've updated the package, none of the EAP drivers were configured. I guess I dropped them figuring nobody would use them. It does add quite a bit of size to the package.

    You will need to update your package from a ssh session

    pcp-update wpa_supplicant.tcz

    Then reboot.....hope it works for you.
