Connecting to Network attached USB drive

When it prompts for username/password try
    guest/guest
    or
    guest (with no password)

You could also check on the router to see if it gives you the opportunity to set a specific name/password for users or share owners

I checked the router and have set specific name/password also another user on a Huawei forum suggested that the IP address maybe 192.168.100.100 as this is often the default IP address for an attached USB drive. This didn't seem to work either and I cannot work out if the address is incorrect or the mount point is the issue.
    I get the error message.
" mount: /mnt/gdryan : special device //192.168.100.100/gdryan does not exist. Disk mount error"
I am not sure if the IP address or the mount point is incorrect.

Can you post a link to the documentation for the router - and maybe a screenshot of the share set-up on the router?

I looked at the documentation before. Its very limited. However if the router is 192.168.1.1 then so is the mount path.

Looking from Windows if you browse to the folder and then map it as a network drive it should reveal its full path

    Probably something like

    \\routername\drivename

    replace with

    //192.168.1.1/drivename in Linux

However how is the USB drive formatted?
    VB2.4 storage QNAP TS419p (NFS)

    Dining Room SB Boom
Kitchen UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio)

    Hi Paul
been away again so have been a bit delayed..again

    The device address is //192.168.1.1

I also mapped the drive using windows to Z:\ however the full path is a bit unclear windows gives me the following

    "\\ATP\gdryan\Western_Digital-10583432_usb1_1"

The drive is NTFS format so should be OK.

What are your thoughts on what I should use as the Mount Point, IP Address, Share Name, Share Type

I also found that the ftp path is ftp://mediarouter.home/Western_Digital-10583432_usb1_1/

    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Cheers Glenn

    Hi All
No joy just keep getting an error that the disk didn't mount. Sorry was going to provide screen shot but realised it gave username and password
