Mixing Artists

I would like to listen to all the albums of two different artists, with them intermingled, randomly.
Can that be done, reliably, with the tracks played randomly?
I can see how to play artist 1,then add add artist 2, then set random on, but I would always get the first track of artist 1 playing first
Are playlists the answer?

Clear your playlist.
Turn shuffle track on.
Press play for your first artist - the tracks should appear shuffled in the playlist queue.
Press "add/+" for your second artist - the second artist's tracks should be shuffled into the queue.

Sorry, but the method I described above works fine for me, both artists are shuffled together in the playlist.

Anyone else here care to test this?

Looks like it works for me. I chose two artists with a similar number of albums with similar length tracks. Looks reasonably random as far as I can tell.

Two artists, Liz Story with 9 albums and George Winston with 7 albums.
On day one the first track I hear just happens to be "Joy" by George.
The second track is "Hymn" by Liz.
The next track, like the first two tracks can be any track from any album of either artist. And so on.

The following day, the tracks play in a completely different way.
