    PiCoreplayer as video server??

    Hi All

I'm simply curious if there is anyway of using PiCorePlayer to serve videos? I was thinking simply by SMB or UPnP/DLNA to a USB drive containing the videos files and accesing them on a client via VLC/MPC-BE etc. or a smart TV with DLNA?

I've installed UPnP/DLNA Media Interface on my picoreplayer but don't know where to put 'videos' and even if this would work.

    Any thoughts?

My other ideas was to install raspbian, install all components of PiCorePlayer manually and then server both msuic and any file via SMB/DLNA etc.

    thanks

Edit: I've now found in the basic settings I can put the path to the videos, but when I run a scan no videos are detected!?! I've tried with mp4 and avi? I've tried this with pictures in a location on my usb hdd and this works (they are indexed and viewable on my smart tv through DLNA), why not for the videos?!?!

Mount a drive with the videos like you did for the music.

(that said I wouldn't want to motivate anyone to use LMS as a video
    server :-))
