    I'm curious now! Can you supply a url for me to try it? I searched via tune in, and think I found it, but it doesn't seem to want to play. Perhaps it's because I am in the US.

    success, thank you chill...I only see "The LA Connection" for RDS, is that just because it's a program now? Do they ever have the song info?

    I haven't seen any other metadata with that stream. I haven't looked for another stream with metadata - I just use Shazam if I really want to know what track is playing!

    No metadata as far as I know, just station ID, show and DJ name. They are a shortwave station broadcasting from Kall in Germany as that is their hobby and radio as it used to be. The internet stream is just an add on for those without SW receivers.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9jG...ature=emb_logo

    They broadcast in English Fri/Sat/Sun but also have German and Dutch presenters. We listen because of the Emperor Rosko as his show is literally a 'wall of sound' and good fun, taking us back to when he broadcast from the pirate radio ship of Radio Caroline, one of which was the MV Mi Amigo. Two hours of Rosko and all other programmes feel a bit flat!

    pretty cool, thanks for the history and the video link. It helps enhance the experience. I'll give it a spin.

    odd problem to play some

    Anyhow, you could just cut and paste this into your favorites.opml. Or, I have highlighted the stream urls and station names below for manual add. I did the first one, you can guess the rest . Note that in the names I usually put the stream type in ():

    <outline icon="html/images/favorites.png" text="St Louis Classic Rock Stations">
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/SLCR1-HD" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Klassics Plus (256 kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/SLCR3-HD" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Beatles and Friends (256 kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/SLCR66-HD" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Crestwood Route 66 (128 kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/PlanetRadio" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Planet Radio (128kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://janus.cdnstream.com/proxy/tsunami2/?mp=/stream" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Handcrafted Radio (96 kbps 44.1kHz AAC)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/FishNet" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Fishnet Killer Music (128kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://ice6.securenetsystems.net/ROOTS2" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="The Roots (128kbps 44.1kHz AAC)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/TexasConnection" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Texas Connection (128kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />

    Note that some of the stream content can change dramatically. Planet radio yesterday was slanted progressive and acid rock and today it's almost old top 40! I like them all for allot of different reasons, very diverse playlist, no commercials or talking (on most)

    enjoy.

    Thank you very much for the urls for the SLC Rock sites.

    I encountered a very odd problem in playing them.

    On my Win 8.1 LMS 7.9.0 only the ROOTS2 site would connect and play. (This is a really nice channel…). The other URLs would show as “connecting” on the Boom, but never connect and play. All of the channels on the SLCR site play fine in the chrome browser. These same non-connect/play would not work on the Radio, Receiver, Classic ether; ROOTS2 works on these, however.

    When I tried all these URLs in Win 10 LMS 8.0.0, all connected and worked perfectly.

    Any fixes or observations to resolve this ‘problem’ would be appreciated! [i have been using win 8.1 because all of my other audio tools are on that computer; I could config Win 10 of course....)

    Thanks again.

    I am running LMS 8.1.2 on a pCP 6 and it plays on a boom, touch, radio. I don't know if this is a "fake memory" (exists in my brain but not in reality), but I dimly recall that some work was done in LMS 8+ to address better https streaming. perhaps you can upgrade? I think the fact that you have sucess with LMS 8 might indicate what the issue is. One other thing that probably has nothing to do with it, but I am running the "reliable" https connection plug in. I use that for podcasts, but who knows...

    One other thing, you can go into the page source and choose other streams. Like I said, I just chose the ones that I thought would be the best quality.

    <edit - note that roots 2 is the only url from the "https://ice6.securenetsystems.net/...">

    <edit #2> - I chopped out some of the page source where the streams are called. You can pick out some alternatives:

    Thanks, Jim. Exactly as you said. Just installed LMS 8.1.2 and everything works. (Win 8.1 - LMS 8.1 -- now that seems ominous, but on the good side)

    Even as I was writing my previous question/problem, I had that exact thought -- it must be the program version. So thanks for the suggestion and especially for the urls. Works nice and some very nice stations added to my list.
