    I'm running Material Skin, I go into favorites and then click on add favorite and enter the url. It gets added to my list but when I click play nothing happens. In fact nothing happens for any of the links in this thread.

    Please can someone help me understand what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Do the links that you are copying have 3 consecutive dots in them?
    If yes then you have copied the forum representation of the link rather than the link itself.
    Right-click on it and copy the link instead.
    However, since "Boom Radio" is in TuneIn then all you have to do is search for it in the Radio Search section.

    For some reason Tunein doesn't offer the 192kbps stream.

    this is what happened to me when I tried it. (Like Paul said) In widows (Chrome), I right click -> open link in a new tab, and the url played in the new tab. I then copied the URL and pasted it in material. Remove the quotes from this and paste: "http://listen-boomradio.sharp-stream.com/65_boom_radio_live_192"

    Thanks All, I wasn't copying the link properly as you correctly suggested.

    I knew it would be something simple

    I went into the page source and extracted the stream urls. You can do that as well, or, if you like I can post them, let me know if interested.

    Here is a snip from my favorites.opml file. I created a folder "St Louis Classic Rock Stations" with each of the stations enclosed. Note that the page source has different stream quality formats, I just chose what I thought should be be the best.

    Anyhow, you could just cut and paste this into your favorites.opml. Or, I have highlighted the stream urls and station names below for manual add. I did the first one, you can guess the rest . Note that in the names I usually put the stream type in ():

    <outline icon="html/images/favorites.png" text="St Louis Classic Rock Stations">
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/SLCR1-HD" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Klassics Plus (256 kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/SLCR3-HD" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Beatles and Friends (256 kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/SLCR66-HD" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Crestwood Route 66 (128 kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/PlanetRadio" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Planet Radio (128kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://janus.cdnstream.com/proxy/tsunami2/?mp=/stream" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Handcrafted Radio (96 kbps 44.1kHz AAC)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/FishNet" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Fishnet Killer Music (128kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://ice6.securenetsystems.net/ROOTS2" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="The Roots (128kbps 44.1kHz AAC)" type="audio" />
    <outline URL="https://slcr.me/TexasConnection" icon="html/images/radio.png" text="Texas Connection (128kbps - MP3)" type="audio" />

    Note that some of the stream content can change dramatically. Planet radio yesterday was slanted progressive and acid rock and today it's almost old top 40! I like them all for allot of different reasons, very diverse playlist, no commercials or talking (on most)

    enjoy.

    I'm quite enjoying this station - a good selection of music and not too many gaps. Mind you, Emperor Rosko has just reminded me that Valentine's Day is approaching. Hardly seems like a week since the last one.

    Mi Amigo repeat the previous week's Rosko LA Connection show on Friday, latest show is on Saturday at 3:00PM. The latest show also on United DJ's on Sunday at 13:00.

    Another station worth listening to is the venerable, and now 57 years old, Radio Caroline. Community run and playing only album tracks across all decades. They have even restored one of the original Caroline pirate radio ships, the Ross Revenge, and broadcast from it during the summer. They also have a sister station, Radio Caroline Flashback, playing music, adverts and jingles from the pirate ship era. http://www.radiocaroline.co.uk/#home.html
