Thread: BBC URLs

  1. #1

    BBC URLs

I am currently using the URLs for BBC radio given here

    https://garfnet.org.uk/cms/tables/ra...-radio-player/

Listening on radio 4, every hour they are broadcasting a message saying that it will stop working on 21st March

Does anyone know anything about this and have alternative URLs

Apologies if this has already been discussed.

    Thanks

    Yes - discussed recently

It need not affect LMS users - particularly if using the BBC Sounds plugin.
See other thread for more thoughts.

As BBC advises (link in other thread), it'll mean just changing the URLs from the llnwd ones to the openlive ones.

Thanks, I have read through the above and it isn't clear to me what the new URLs are.

Do you mean I literally replace llnwd with openlive or is there more to it than that?

I can't actually find what the new URLs are, are they listed somewhere?

    Mostly interested in radio 4

    Thanks

These are the "open.live" URL I know of for National and Regional. These are non-UK. I think main purpose of change is to remove all "http" UK specific streams - DASH and HLS providing the better quality.

Thank you guys. All set up now, and hopefully don't have to change them again for a while
