Hi there,
a question to the Pros out there:
If I use the "random mix" for a specific genre to play - e.g. "lounge" and I choose "random album", what defines that an album is taken into the playlist, if it contains the genre "lounge" as well as other genres?
Thanks very much and kind regards - Markus

Not sure if I got that.
I did not give any answer to myself.
Is it the first track (nr. 1) of the album that defines the ALBUM genre, or any track that has been choosen?Greetings from Switzerland - Markus :-)

Ok, this meams, if I really do only want to have Genre A played, I cannot choose "Random album" for Genre A, if I don't know, if all songs in the Album contain Genre A, right?

I don't know. Over the years I decided to define the tagging on the song base and not (anymore) the album base. A couple of hunderets cerrtainly...
Often I have chosen to play random songs and not random albums...Greetings from Switzerland - Markus :-)

Have a look at Random Seeds - it may do more what you are after
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showt...t=Random+Seeds
You will have to scroll through until you find where Michael implements it but basically you create a favourite of your genre as follows
randomplay://track?genres=Rock&dontContinue=1
This will kick off a random playlist of genre "Rock".
When it reaches the end - as defined at the bottom of Random Mix - it hands over to Don't Stop The MusicVB2.4 storage QNAP TS419p (NFS)
