Seems ok, but when I put raw.githubusercontent.com into my browser it failed to open the website and showed error:

Issue with instalation 8.1.1 on Raspberry Pi

    Hello everybody,

I’m not the real Linux guru and try to update my Raspberry Pi / Max2Play environment.
    My previous version was
    Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.0 - 1601590552 @ Fri Oct 2 01:04:56 CEST 2020
It worked fine, but I was facing a small bug with big playlists.

To update I was using the link from the initial entry from Michael.
    http://downloads-origin.slimdevices...._8.1.1_arm.deb

After the successful update with this link my system still shows only 8.0.1
    Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.1 - 1608617100 @ Tue Dec 22 07:18:04 CET 2020

I also tried an update with the following link I found in the Max2Play Forum, but the result is again 8.0.1 - 1608617100
    http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nig...082237_all.deb

Any advise for me what I’m missing here?

    Thanks a lot!

    Best regards,
    Ulli

I am not sure what is going wrong, but you may try to install the latest 8.1.2 nightly build from http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.1
Basically, LMS 8.1.2 nightly is LMS 8.1.1 + a few fixes for bugs that were found after LMS 8.1.1 was released.

Thanks a lot, this version could be installed by the Max2Play routines.

These are not 3rd-party plugins, but plugins that come with LMS but are not activated by default.

Yes, http://repos.squeezecommunity.org/extensions.xml is indeed redirected to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LM...extensions.xml. Over here I can access this URL without problem.

If your government blocks access to domain https://raw.githubusercontent.com, then this would explain why you don't see 3rd-party plugins, and why you can't install them from the LMS plugin tab.

I can't explain why manual installation of Material Skin does not work for you. This seems to be a different problem since manual installation should be possible without having access to the 3rd-party plugin repository.

    Tidal playout problem...

I'm running 8.0.1 and have the following behaviour related to Tidal solely... I have no problem with songs ripped to my HD on the server.

    - If I hit an album via the Tidal plugin the album "loads" and I see the vertical play progression bar move to the right indicating the time. But there is no sound. Only can I get the audio to be play-out in the speakers if I move the progress bar handle a bit backward of forward. If I do this I get sound - at leats for the rest fo the track. Usually, next track show progress but no sound. If I wait a long time.. 20-30 secs, I might get sound but then a bit into the song.

What can I do to avoid this or help in troubleshooting it!?

This was about the same time as the above happenings:

You're using a rather old version of IO::Socket::SSL (v1.966) - please try to update to at least 2.020 for improved compatibility.

This thread is about LMS 8.1.1 - which you should install before
anything else. I actually added some code today to enforce LMS 8.1 if
    you want to use TIDAL.

    Community Firmware download failed

I just upgraded to LMS 8.1.1 on a piCore 6.1 and enabled the Community Firmware. Now I saw the following warnings:
