Is there any shortlist somewhere with streamer/DACs supporting LMS in the price bracket up to 3-400 euros that betters the SBT?

Pretty sure there aren't any. You can snap something together around a Raspberry Pi or buy a used Squeezebox on eBay.
https://docs.picoreplayer.org/getting-started/
Or you can run "Chromecast bridge" or "UPnP/DLNA bridge" plugins on LMS and play to one of those devices.
If it's me, I'm building a player using a RPi 4B-2GB and HiFiBerry DAC2 HD. Or a RPi 4B-4GB if I want it to also run LMS.Last edited by Apesbrain; 2021-01-02 at 14:52.

I have two SBT.
There is a brand also supporting LMS, but forgot the name.
Sure there must be others, now when LMS supports seamless streaming services, too...
Found one! SOtM from S. Korea! Pricey thoughLast edited by Zombie; 2021-01-02 at 15:23.

Don't know about better but look at Roon compatible players as I think some are also LMS compatible such as Sonore

Looking at the product description these are indeed kits, that you need to assemble yourself. The advantage of a kit is that it comes with all components including pre-drilled housing, which saves you a lot of time compared to collecting all components yourself and order these from various suppliers. But you will still need to assemble the kit and configure the software. As far as I can see in assembling the kit no soldering is involved. Note that the first kit comes without raspberry pi and power supply, so you will need to order these also, which adds to the price.

Look at Volumio Primo
Got a good review on Darko and Volumio has a Squeezelite plugin and also LMS plug-in so i am pretty sure it would work.
Very pricey for what is essentially an Asus tinker board and some kind of DAC board in a fancy case.
I have a Pi 4 based player with a Khadas Tone Board both in WAF cases it worked out about half the price of the VolumioVB2.4 storage QNAP TS419p (NFS)
Living Room Joggler & Pi4/Khadas -> Onkyo TXNR686 -> Celestion F20s
Office Joggler & Pi3 -> Denon RCD N8 -> Celestion F10s
Dining Room SB Boom
Kitchen UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio)
Bedroom (Bedside) Pi Zero+DAC ->ToppingTP21 ->AKG Headphones
Bedroom (TV) & Bathroom SB Touch ->Denon AVR ->Mordaunt Short M10s + Kef ceiling speakers
Guest Room Joggler > Topping Amp -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes
Everything controlled by iPeng & Material on iOS
