it allows you to set CPU's based on a comma delimited list of cpus. From the looks of this, it never operated with busybox's implementation of taskset. I must have been using the full util-linux all the time. Not sure how this never came up before.

if you install the util-linux extension, that will solve that problem.

Now it just a matter of adding one line of code for each new product. As pCP is getting bigger and bigger, some of the original decisions made 6 years ago don't make sense. Now it is more important to make things manageable.

Anyway, at the same time Paul used one of these "unused" functions in a seldom used bit of code. I thought he fixed and he probably thought I fixed.
I just discovered the same error after updating to pCP 7. Will this be fixed in an update?

Another one I found is this:
    Code:
[ INFO ] Starting Squeezelite player: Squeezelite...
    taskset: invalid option -- 'c'
    BusyBox v1.31.1 (2020-12-18 22:35:49 EST) multi-call binary.

Usage: taskset [-p] [HEXMASK] PID | PROG ARGS

    Set or get CPU affinity

-p	Operate on an existing PID
     Done.
I haven't actually set the -c option in the squeezelite settings pane, so not clear where that comes from.. The command line in the Squeezelite pane, without me doing any manual tweaks, is this:
    Code:
    /usr/local/bin/squeezelite -n "piCorePlayer" -o hw:CARD=sndrpihifiberry -a 80:4::1: -r 96000 -s picoreplayer.local -C 15 -i /home/tc/.lircrc

That's weird. I installed the extension yesterday (after Paul's suggestion) and for me the error is gone.

Do you notice any benefit of using CPU isolation?

I have not done any measurements, but I know there are benefits in similar realtime applications (QoS routing).

    Message when restarting Squeezelite

Hi, I get the following message when restarting Squeezelite on pCP 7. Squeezelite works perfectly fine though. Not sure if this is important.
