Hi, I have lost BBC iPlayer Listen Again channels since sometime after 19.00 UK time yesterday. I am now getting an error message '410 gone'. Live BBC channels are unaffected. Since losing the channels LMS has flaggged up that an update (Version 8.0.0) is available, which I have installed. This has made no difference. I'm using iPlayer version 1.6.9, and I have http://downloads.sourceforge.net/pro...lease-repo.xml installed (at least, it's listed in my plugins at the bottom of the page, and I don't think this has changed since yesterday).
Extract from my log:

I would be very grateful for any ideas of what has happened, and how to retrieve Listen Again.
Many thanks,
Dave

At a guess your OS does not have up to date SSL libraries.
1. What is the version of IO::Socket::SSL - see WebUI / Settings/information
2. What OS do you have and what version ?
Usually you need at least version 2.06 for IO::Socket::SSL and at least 1.1.* of OpenSSL if you are using Linux or some versions of MacOS/OSX.

Hi, I'm suffering the same issue with the same symptoms, Iplayer listen again and Iplayer Extra both fail with the same error that Weystoner reports .
I'm running PiCore player V 6.1.0 with IO::Socket::SSL: 2.066, LMS Version: 8.0.0 - 1603391272, Iplayer V 1.6.10 and Iplayer Extra V3.4.0.
These are the logs produced when accessing Radio 4 listen again:
[20-12-02 17:17:24.9122] Slim::Formats::XML::gotErrorViaHTTP (339) Error: getting http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/avail...dio_fourfm.xml

This is the result of browsing to the URL in the logs:

BBC changing URLs again?
If you need any more info i'm happy to help, any help much appreciated.Last edited by timmoss501; 2020-12-02 at 10:23.

I also started seeing this problem today.
OpenSSL is 1.1.1d
IO::Socket::SSL: 2.060
Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.0 - 1605892076 @ Fri Nov 20 21:29:02 CET 2020, running on a Raspberry Pi 4 with Raspbian Buster.
FWIW, iPlayer program lists were very slow to load last night. Maybe this is a regional issue, there are so few reports of a problem. I'm in Ecuador.

FYI, same error here in France
Version: 7.9.3 - 1584993250 @ Tue Mar 24 04:13:22 CET 2020
Operating system: Debian - EN - utf8
Platform Architecture: x86_64-linux
Perl Version: 5.20.2 - x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi
Audio::Scan: 0.95
IO::Socket::SSL: 2.002
Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0)
Will update LMS/OS and see if that fetches a newer version of IO::Socket::SSL.
EDIT. Update changed nothing. Installing the BBC Sounds plugin restored function.Last edited by epoch1970; 2020-12-02 at 12:02.

OK it look like BBC have deliberately or accidentally killed off the "Listen again" feeds in total.
Either way I can do nothing.
If it is accidental, it may be back in a few days.
If it is deliberate, it may be tied into the fact the BBC Sounds became universally available to non UK users Since mid Sept and BBC wants to retire the "old" feeds and "migrate" users to use BBC Sounds.
The BBC Sounds plugin is available for LMS and just requires registration on BBC Sounds website.
BBCiPlayerExtra A-Z and Genres does not use the "old" feeds and may still work.

I think BBC have now put an API key requirement in place.
This was due to happen by March 2020 but I assume that COVID made them change their timescales ... and now they have decided to put it in place before Christmas IT lockdown (educated guess on my part).Paul Webster

BBC told radio aggregators about it towards the end of 2019 - I have not seen it discussed on BBC web site.
There was also to be a new hostname - which I guess they did so that it is easy to produce the error message now being seen.Paul Webster
