Replacing a Logitech Squeezebox Radio with a Google Home

We currently have a Logitech Squeezebox Radio in our kitchen. It is still working somewhat alright but is quickly becoming obsolete. It is primarily used for Spotify. The sound quality is pretty decent IMO (good enough for the kitchen). Has anyone gone from a Squeezebox Radio to a Google Home? Or, is anyone using one in their kitchen primarily for Spotify? Is it good for this purpose?

    Thanks!10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254

I don't know how the sound quality compares with a higher end Google device but they do work (at least my old Google Home) as a Chromecast player via the Chromecast Bridge plugin.

However, what is making your Squeezebox Radio suddenly dropping in value to you?

My question as well. I have two radios in constant use and they work well, including playing Spotify.
