Hi, i'm an Italian user and i don't speak english.
I will try to explain my problem using google translator.
I apologize in advance if everything is not clear and exposed correctly.
For several years now i have been a satisfied user of the radio squeezebox but only in its function of radio, that is, without interaction with the computer.
Unfortunately last week the central knob broke and i don't have the remote control to be able to use the radio controls.
To increase the functionality of the radio, i decided to install logitech media server and everything went well.
Of course, since I logged into LMS, I no longer have access to mysqueezebox to control the radio.
So far everything ok.
The big big problem is that the radio is totally controlled by LMS to the point that it is not even possible to select the stored stations directly on the device.
But above all to be able to listen to the radio it is essential that the PC is switched on and that the LMS is running.
As soon as the PC is switched off or disconnected from the network, the radio is as if dead, the orange no-connection signal appears and the radio becomes useless.
Not even the alarm function works if the pc is not turned on and the logitech media server is running.
I tried to stop LMS but obviously without any result, I also removed it from the computer but I had to install it again since at the moment it is essential to be able to use the radio.
Now i ask you who are really experts in the field, what i can do to get rid of LMS permanently and disconnect the radio from this so invasive server.
Alternatively, i would also like to keep this option, but of course maintaining, indeed recovering the radio functionality independent of the LMS, therefore with the PC off or LMS stopped.
I remind you that the knob anyways no longer works and that I don't have the remote control.
I really hope that someone can help me out of this mess.
Grazie
Katia

I'm actually surprised by the quality of the translation!

Do the six preset buttons no longer work?

In LMS web interface there is a menu Extras, which has an item Music
Source (Sorgente musicale). This should allow you to send the Radio to
mysqueezebox.com.

Your Radio can connect to either LMS or mysqueezebox.com, but not both at the same time.
It appears that you don't wish to have your PC running all the time just to listen to your Radio.
As you have no centre knob, try this, using the LMS web interface, on the left hand side, scroll to the bottom of the page to "Music Source" under "Extras", if you click on this you should be given the option to connect your Radio to mysqueezebox.com.
You should be able to to pick up a suitable replacement knob at an electrical spares/parts shop.

I really thank you all, you have been really precious and you have helped me to solve my question.
I will take a little more advantage of your expertise to ask you if you know if, by purchasing a compatible remote control, you have the same functions as the controls on the device.
