As you were on the 8.0.0 release, there are no more automatic updates
until 8.0.1 or 8.1.0 will be released. Only once you've installed one of
these builds manually you'll get the nightly builds again.

Most likely the file _is_ corrupted. I strongly suggest you re-download
using a different browser, or curl or something.

thanks Michael, it worked with curl

    Hello!

    I have "Version: 8.0.1 - 1606829643 @ Tue Dec 1 14:58:52 CET 2020" running on a piCorePlayer Pi4 installation. Today I tried to add a few (54) songs to LMS.
But it took 3 hours and I can not see what is going on because the LMS webpage and the LMS part of the piCorePlayer webpage are not reacting.
Then I shut down piCorePlayer normal which worked. I then started a complete scan and again after a few minutes the webpage is not longer reacting. At the beginning I saw that 10000 songs are read but then it is not going any further.

The songs are on an external SSD which I tested and the filesystem is OK.

Is there any known problem that LMS is not reacting when importing?

This is the scanner.log (now it is 20:13):

I now deleted the three library.db* files and started a complete scan.
It took 2 hours and 18 minutes to search all new files. Normally this is taking 30 minutes.

So is there something changed in this part in the last version?

Ok, more than two hours are too much. What are your DB performance
settings (Settings/Advanced/Performance)? Set it to Max. Did you tweak
any of the SD card, cache etc. settings in pCP?

That is what I thought too. I did a full scan last week that was running 35 minutes and that is OK.

I have it set to "Max", because of such a big library and my Pi 4 has 4GB RAM.

    No.
piCoreplayer is starting from SD card, LMS database etc. is placed on an USB stick attached to USB 3, the music files are on a USB SSD attached to USB 3 and the filesystem is HFS+ and this is mounted readonly.

And the 35 minutes were on the exact same configuration? Same SSD? Same
    filesystem? Same USB stick?

BTW: using the USB disk for the cache is one of the tweaks I was
wondering about. What format are you using there?

Yes, nothing is changed, except that there are 54 more songs in the SSD.

What if you scanned these new folders only?

You could also enable logging for the scanner to see whether you could
further down where the time is spent on.
