But I believe some of your codes still is alive in
Slim::Utils::OS::Synolog. It's always good to see familiar names again :-).

This is super cool! Heck... if only I found the time and energy to start
tinkering with Arduino/ESP32 at some point...

    Album Art Display

Dear all, it has been I while since I last posted here. SSODS is long dead, but the Squeezeboxes are still going strong and are in daily use. Much to the surprise of some of my work colleagues, who think there was no music streaming before smartphones (they also don't know what an "album" is.. :-).

Anyway, I built something you might like: a cover art display. The display is a 64x64 LED matrix (3mm LEDs, so ~8 DPI). A ESP32 wifi module connects to the server and retrieves the image and displays it. Using a CLI (port 9090) connection it gets (sort of) real-time updates when the song changes and the display will update to the new cover art quickly.

Find below a few pictures. More pics on https://oinkzwurgl.org/projaeggd/album-art-display/. Source code is on https://github.com/phkehl/AlbumArtDisplay

This looks really awesome but probably way beyond my skills. Would love some type of Now Playing display. Really cool.
