    USB Charging for Radio?

Hmmm - does this supply enough oomph to keep a Radio (and its battery) happy? I though the Radio needed more than 2a at 5v? Handy, though, if it does work....

I thought the Radio input voltage was around 18V.

No, the Radio requires 12V, or 18V if you want to charge the battery.

5V/2A is around what Classic and Touch used.

It does say charge rather than run though ... so is that enough to charge the battery while the radio is off?

That would be strange if it does. I donĺt have the schematics but if 18v is requires, it clearly means there is no step up converter, so 5v will not charge. Now you can always use these external step up you find on eBay, Amazon, Banggood where you can step up/down to any value.

Donĺt forget that 5v stepped up to 18v means you need at least 18/5 more amps from the 5v supply
