I might have solved the issue....... It's a shame for me, but haven't read all the options carefully.

[v] Don't announce Squeezebox players running in Spotify Connect mode in your network. Check this option if you don't want your Spotify Connect enabled Squeezebox player to show up in all Spotify apps in your network.

I have that little checkbox marked for long. It worked fine on x86 so I didn't touch it after moving to RPi.
Turns out it somehow didn't work on x86 system at all and on new ARM it clearly does exactly what it says.
So, I read this carefully and understood it that way, that if a speaker is running Spotify Connect on its own (such as my Sonos speakers are), then Spotty does not advertise them to Spotty Connect network "again".
After unchecking this option all LMS players instantly showed up in Spotify Connect.
I now have two Spotify Connect devices for each Sonos speaker:
    - Sonos (via LMS) #1
    - Sonos Direct #1
and that's exactly what I wanted.

    Sorry for taking your time.
I wrote this "solution" here because perhaps someone in the future will make the same mistake.

My understanding of that check box is that if your connect devices are logged in to the same Spotify account as the Spotify app then they should show up as devices whether the box is checked or not. Checking the box stops your devices showing up as devices in someone else's Spotify app.

That's completely different understanding that mine
In my setup, all Sonos speakers are logged to my "main" Spotify account. Spotty was also logged to this very same "main" account.
With that option checked on RPi / ARM, all those Sonos speakers connected over Airplay Bridge to LMS as LMS Players, did not show in my Spotify app.
I also added another account from my "Spotify Family" plan to check it out, but teh they were still not visible.
Only after unchecking this option they showed up as Spotify Connect targets.

    Did you configure all accounts?

    But he's right.

If Sonos can do Spotify Connect, why would you want to expose them
through LMS again?!? Sonos' Connect mode should be much more robust and
    reliable than Spotty's.

Ok, so it means that somehow Spotty was trying to advertise LMS players under different account that my "main", that was configured as the only one at first, than as the first of two.
    How is that even possible?

That's a good question! The answer is: home automation system.
My LMS players are mostly controlled from Loxone smart home app (this is were I select and start/stop music for different multi-room audio zones most of the time).
Occasionally I need to stream directly from Spotify app, but then I still prefer to do it through LMS and not directly to Sonos speakers.
That's because music can be later controlled from multiple Loxone apps, from wall touch switches or with different home automation scenes (such as "good night" or "leaving home", etc).
That's also a matter od being able to overlay TTS messages or alarms/rings (such as doorbell) from home automation system when a player is playing.
When I'd be streaming directly to Sonos speakers, it wouldn't be possible.

    FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-p10 LMS 7.9.2 - FreeBSD helper won't enable

The first one is somewhat experimental: Spotty v4.4.0 allows you to get the Home/Start menu items as found on "h t t p s://open.spotify.com"]open.spotify.com. Unfortunately these are neither 100% identical to what you get in the Spotify apps, nor available through any documented web API. In order to use that feature you'll have to provide a session cookie from open.spotify.com. Please see the instruction as linked in Spotty's setup pages info bullet.

The second feature is particularly interesting in a Spotify Family setup: you don't want your kids' music imported into your LMS library (using LMS8+). This new feature allows you to define which accounts you want to import, and which ones you want to leave alone.
Hi Michael and thank you for your great work,

I just updated my LMS installation from FreeBSD 11 to FreeBSD 12 using the patch from h t t p s://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=240397 (pkg-list-patch-for-12.1) with success but now the FreeBSD helper won't install from plugins making Spotty give the following output in plugins/settings:

There has been a problem running the Spotty helper application. Most likely your operating system and/or platform is not supported. Please report the following details to me:

    Operating system: FreeBSD / amd64-freebsd

    Helper Applications Folder:
    /usr/local/share/logitechmediaserver/Bin
    /sbin
    /bin
    /usr/sbin
    /usr/bin
    /usr/local/sbin
    /usr/local/bin
    //bin
    /usr/libexec
    /usr/local/libexec
    /var/db/logitechmediaserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin

    What can I do?

    Greetings

How does the installation fail? Any error? Anything in server.log?

You could try to compile your own:
    https://github.com/michaelherger/spotty. "cargo build --release" should
be all you need. Then copy the resulting spotty binary as
"spotty-custom" somewhere in your search path.
