All good now for me.

I am so frustrated with Spotify though. It's one issue after another. The recent token issue for example. Thus whole lack of consistency with the way Spotify works with Chromecast has been a long term problem. Trouble is after being with them for a few years I don't like to think of the effort to move to a different service.

Anyway.. rant over😀

Thanks again for your awesome work on this plug-in.

Hi,
I have followed the creation of a Client ID, but I still get error 429 in the log file. Sometimes I can see menus, sometimes, I can play songs, sometimes. Browsing in Spotty is working sometimes.
I don't know exactly when this issue started, but I follow this threat since Michael created Spotty.

Over the past few days I get a lot of this message from Spotty


Failed to get access token
Please check Settings/Advanced/Spotty Spotify for Squeezebox in the web interface


It always corrects itself after a short time, but it's a bit annoying. Searches return empty via squeezepad, and you don't know if the search has come up with nothing, or whether the system hasn't responded.

I hate to say me too, but two LMS systems that I look after have suffering the same. I've set up client IDs on both, but we're still getting the rate limiting messages.

What I have noticed is that the spotify dashboard is not updating with requests - it still says "No data available.", so has the ClientID configuration taken? It's definitely in the configuration page.

Am on latest 8.0.1.

I think there's some caching issue still. This feature has not been
extensively tested... worst case shut down LMS and delete its cache.db file.

Spotify only updates the dashboard once a day.

I'm using Spotty on my Logitech UE smart radio. It worked well during months. Since a few days, I can't see this device on Spotify.
I updated the firmware, checked the plugin version...
Tried to add a web token, the spotify client ID... But I still can't see the Logitech UE in Spotify.

EDIT: I finally deleted deleted my Spotify account in spotty, and relogged me. It worked.
I'm so happy with my LMS/Spotty/Moode Setup. Thank you so much for your work on Spotty @mherger !

Did you try to remove credentials and re-authenticate?
