    I think I've sorted it out; managed to find a compatible 7.7.6 to install on the NAS and the Touch has recognised it. Thanks for all your help!

    What is the firmware version of your new Touch? Maybe the firmware has never been updated.

    That was to have been my next question.

    I think we would've heard about this problem before now if SB Touch's couldn't connect to LMS 8.0.

    You expect all of them to be updated by now but someone else recently had one with old firmware.

    It's 7.7.3 but with no option to update.

    It will probably only offer the update with a newer LMS like 7.9.2. Install that then perform a software update then you should be free to go back to 8.0.0.

    7.8.0 for Touch (aka fab4) was introduced with ľ surprise! ľ LMS 7.8.0.
