    That works! Guess this beta option was less obvious to me than to edit the config.txt and swap out the device tree overlay. Either way works I guess.

    Ask the devs why it's hidden behind the "Beta" tab, go on, I dare you .

    Lol, you can ask. it was an attempt to only show cards that would work on a certain pi. But with so many rpi boards, and so many sub revisions. keeping track of it, and updating to keep up with it has proven a challenge.

    It’s time to drop that selection criteria and just show everything all the time.

    PiCorePlayer and Sonata USB stick

    Hi all, I've just upgraded to 6.1 from 5.X

    My Sonata USB audio stick is now refusing to output anything. The PiCore player appears to be running fine.

    There's a couple of new settings for USB and I've tried switching those but still no sound/output. Is there further doco I've missed or can someone suggest how I can get this to work again?

    Thanks; Rocky.

    Nothing should have changed. Is the card being detected?

    You might need to check the volume setting. You will have to do that through an ssh session and Alsa mixer. There are basic instructions on the card control page.

    The card is being detected in the SSH session and in the diagnostics. Set up the volume. Under the CARD options, I tried disabling off built in audio, but that seemed to disable squeez2 lite all together. Re-enabling everything works, but still no audio from the USB. Should I try an older picore version?

    If disabling onboard audio stopped squeezelite from running, then you did not set the output setting on the squeezelite page to you USB card.

    IO::Socket::SSL: Nothing ??

    Morning All

    I seem to have an issue with the IO::Socket::SSL on my system.

    My Pi4 server runs LMS via pCP 6.1.0 with the following info…

    Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.4 - 1603273368 @ Thu Oct 22 04:21:56 CEST 2020
    Hostname: piCoreLMS64
    Server IP Address: 192.168.0.16
    Server HTTP Port Number: 9000
    Operating system: piCore - EN - utf8
    Platform Architecture: armv7l-linux
    Perl Version: 5.28.0 - arm-linux-gnueabihf-thread-multi-64int
    Audio::Scan: 1.02
    IO::Socket::SSL: Nothing
    Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.58 (sqlite 3.22.0)
    Total Players Recognized: 12

    I use a variety of players and have Material Skin as my default option. I don’t understand the significance but I see that I have nothing against IO::Socket::SSL which doesn’t look right? If I putty into my PI4 and enter the command ‘openssl version’ it reports OpenSSL 1.1.0l 10 Sep 2019 but that isn’t showing in LMS.

    This causing some problems with the BBc iPlayer plugin but I also get these errors on the plugins page....

    Bad repository https://github.com/LMS-Community/lms...extensions.xml - Can't connect to https URL lack of IO::Socket::SSL: https://github.com/LMS-Community/lms...extensions.xml

    Bad repository http://raw.githubusercontent.com/mol...ter/public.xml - Can't connect to https URL lack of IO::Socket::SSL: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mo...ter/public.xml

    Bad repository https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CD...ter/public.xml - Can't connect to https URL lack of IO::Socket::SSL: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CD...ter/public.xml

    Bad repository https://sourceforge.net/projects/lms...64/repo_sf.xml - Can't connect to https URL lack of IO::Socket::SSL: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lms...64/repo_sf.xml

    Can someone please direct me as to how I install the necessary software, I haven’t noticed this problem before.

    Many thanks
    Ashley

    P.S.
    I've just noticed that Spotty isn't working, it shows an SSL error. Not sure what has changed as Spotty was working yesterday.
