I agree with Michel. Modern SD cards are pretty robust.

I've been running LMS on a Raspbian Pi with the same SD card for many years with no issues. Not only is the LMS cache on the SD card, but so is swap, /var/log and everything else in the FHS that has a lot of disk I/O.
