But I don't know whether he supports your DSM or CPU, tbh.
I just tried, apparently it does not. Anyway, many thanks!

Yes, these lists are limited to roughly 500 items. This already requires
sending 10 requests to TIDAL, as we can only get 50 per request. I'd
therefore recommend you using LMS8's online library integration to get
    access to your library.

So I have favorited a lot (probably 700 or so) Tidal albums, mostly for random playlists.

It will only scan 540 of them... my favorites list now ends at S :|

Better than A but I'm still missing some stuff. Is this a hard limit or is is possible to have all my Tidal tagged favorites (from clicking on the heart icons for albums) be available under Favorites Albums etc.?

I'm using the latest 8.0 build.

Scan (during a library scan) or show in the TIDAL/Playlist menu? They're
    not treated the same.

The reason most likely being that there still were some left-overs from
the previous installation... Even if it's only in your browser. It would
really be good if you could install LMS on a different computer where
there's never been a LMS. A VM would do.

Can you check in TIDAL itself what the album ID would be? I know that
    they sometimes differ between countries.

    Hi Michael,

I installed LMS 8 on my Windows computer which never had any LMS installation. No config, all defaults. Same result - the album does not play on Squeezebox Radio.

Running Tidal Web Player, I can play the album fine on my computer. The album ID is 3393206.

Ok, I've finally been able to reproduce the issue: this is an album
which is not available losslessly. But for whatever reason LMS thinks
it's flac, rather than AAC. When I previously tested I might have done
so with an account which hasn't lossless available.

Please paste wimp://3393210.aac in the web UI's "Tune in to URL" input
    field. That should play.

    Hi Michael,

I pasted the link on TuneIn but still doesn't play. On the play window it still stubbornly shows whats being played as FLAC and not AAC...

    Code:
    Title: I Corinthians 15:55
    Artist: Johnny Cash
Album: American VI: Ain't No Grave
    Save
    Track Radio
    Save song to library
    Duration: 3:38
    File Format: FLAC (TIDAL)
    Bitrate: PCM VBR
    On Flickr
    On Amazon
What did work was enabling Tidal debug logging. There, just below the wimp URL, came the direct Tidal URL:

    http://ab-pr-fa.audio.tidal.com/0123...g1MWFmZGJhZg==

That played correctly when playing on TuneIN!

Hope that helps tracking the issue.

I sent a mail to TIDAL to ask about this: when requesting the track their API is telling me it was lossless. Therefore the SB would initialise the FLAC decoder. But when requesting the actual stream URL they would return a URL to a m4a file, as you've seen. The player fails to decode it because it's expecting FLAC. I'll see what they have to say.

    "It doesn't work - what shall I do?" - "Please check your server.log and/or scanner.log file!"

    Michael,

    It's both.

Attached is the result of 'rescan online music only' (showing 541 albums but there are more), and then the view from Home->Tidal->My Favorties->Albums, which is alphabetical, I chopped some out between P and R but it ends at Safe and there are lot more albums!

So it appears it's only scanning/recognizing the 1st 541 albums, in alphabetical order.

On a side note, It's not uncommon for a "rescan online music only' to come up with 1 or 2 albums and then it purges all my favorites. Another rescan brings them all back (well, 541 of them in this case). I've had this issue for a long time, longer than the recent credentialing change. So I end up scanning twice to get the desired result. It doesn't happen always, but it's common.

    Hi Michael,

Many thanks. Will keep an eye here.
